G-Tech Bags FAQ's & Care Guide

There's not too much that can go wrong with the technology, but we've found there's a couple of questions that pop up regularly :

Q -- Why does my music sometimes fast-forward through the track?

A -- This can happens when more than one button is pressed at a time. You might be wearing your pack & the buttons are pressed by your shoulder or under your arm, sometimes squeezing the buttons has the Fast Forward effect aswell.

This will only happen if the switch is active, if it's locked then you won't have any trouble.

The switch automatically locks itself after 7 seconds of inactivity; to unlock, simple press the Unlock button for 4 seconds.

Q -- I've heard that ElekTex Smart Fabric is washable - does this mean I can get my backpack wet and the Control Panel will still work?

A -- That's absolutely correct - the ElekTex Control Panel is completely washable, as are all the connectors. However, the battery box, iPod connector box & cable are NOT! So, as long as you remove these components before your backpack gets wet then there's no problem.

Care Guide

:: the outer fabric of the bag can be sponge-cleaned at any time using warm soapy water.
:: if you need to clean the inside of the bag, or to wash it completely, you will need to remove the black connector box before washing.

:: to do this, simply unplug the entire black connector box from the black ribbon connector. Store the connector box & cable safely until your bag has been washed & dried.

:: it is completely safe to wash the bag with the ribbon connector & head-phone jacks in place. Just tuck these into the mesh pocket, secure the Velcro tab & hand wash the entire bag in warm water.

:: dry the bag naturally (do not tumble dry) & when the it's completely dry, the connector box can be re-connected & you're ready to go again.
